AsiaNext, a digital
asset exchange that focuses institutions, has appointed David
Martin as CEO for its derivatives business. Martin, whose
appointment is subject to customary formalities, comes from
FalconX, a crypto prime brokerage.
Martin has worked for more than 17 years in areas such as investment management, trading and financial technology, including almost 10 years in the cryptocurrency area. He previously co-founded Blockforce Capital, a crypto hedge fund, and helped launch BLCN, a blockchain exchange-traded fund. Earlier in his career, Martin developed quantitative strategies in macro markets and founded a risk analytics platform for hedge funds.
